Managing Director

John McGuinness

With 15 years of experience in the fundraising sector, John brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to his work. Over the past year, he has successfully run his own fundraising agency and is proud to be working with a number of local and national charities.

John is known for his honesty, strong work ethic, and genuine desire to help others succeed. He’s committed to supporting driven individuals and is focused on building a business grounded in integrity, hard work, and collaboration with like-minded people.

Even today, John remains hands-on and continues to work in the field most days.

Head of Admin & Payroll

Sarah McGuinness

Sarah has been an integral part of the business since its founding in 2023. As Head of Admin and Payroll, she brings a high level of organisation and efficiency to everything she does.

Sarah takes pride in delivering excellent administrative support and plays a key role in keeping office operations running smoothly. She’s also a vital source of support for all our fundraisers, ensuring they have what they need to succeed.

National Business Development Manager

Michelle Barnes

Michelle has over 18 years’ experience in fundraising, building a career across frontline roles, leadership positions, and supporting the launch of three successful start-up organisations.

Earlier in her career, Michelle worked internationally in more than 40 countries, including Malaysia, the Caribbean, and Scandinavia. She began in door-to-door sales and progressed to International Sales Manager, developing and delivering pitches in multiple languages while leading international sales teams.

Michelle believes there are few careers where you can earn a living while making a meaningful difference to causes that matter—and fundraising is one of them.

Head of Business Support & Recruitment

Grace Paul

 With a solid background in recruitment and a few years of fundraising experience to match, Grace has stepped into an exciting new role at JM Fundraising.

Working closely with John and Sarah, she’s focused on helping grow the business, bringing in new talent, and making sure our fundraisers are fully supported as they represent both local and national charities. Grace is passionate about building strong teams and providing excellent business support every step of the way.

Sales Manager

Jayne Harper

Jayne brings a broad and varied background to her role at J M Fundraising, with experience spanning face-to-face fundraising, business ownership, hospitality management, senior corporate sales and management roles, and hands-on care services, including in-home and end-of-life care. This diverse career has given her a deep understanding of people, leadership and service, alongside a practical, results-driven approach to her work. Jayne is passionate about doing meaningful work, supporting others to grow, and contributing to a company she genuinely loves being part of.
